These jumbo crayons are the perfect size for infants starting their journey with mark making. With the fun dinsoaur shapes mark making can be encouraged through play - which has proven to give the best developmental results.

Each set of three will comprise of:

*One brown crayon dinosaur - The use of brown in these sets is intentional and not just because it's a realistic colour for Dino's. It's also because it's one of the colours younger children tend to reach for the most. Dark colours like browns and blacks give the biggest reward to effort ratio for small children, as there is a high contrast against the paper - making it a perfect choice for the beginning of the mark making journey.
* One solid colour - we include a solid colour Dino as a complimentary colour to the brown, again we use quite high contrast colours such as orange, green, blue and purple to allow little ones to begin to differentiate between colours without overwhelming them with too much choice.
* One marbled crayon dinosaur (two colours mixed together) this adds a secondary element to the mark making journey allowing them to explore colour, and colour mixing to expand the imagination.

The set contains three large crayons as 1. The jumbo size means they are easier to grip for smaller children who may not have honed their fine motor skills yet and 2. Research has shown very small children can get overwhelmed with too much choice and providing them with fewer choices but lots of opportunities to make those choices aids development.
